Subtle Differences

My son notices the differences between things. For example, the other day he was playing with his cars. He said, "I'm going to show you how cars smash!" Then, before I could say no, he crashed two cars together. I quickly responded with, "Colin, you know you are NOT supposed to crash your cars!" and he responded just as quickly with, "No! This is a crash!" Then, he crashed them again. His follow up comment was, "I showed you two different things... smash... crash!" And, of course, being his mother's son, he used his hands appropriately to demonstrate the differences.
